Finger Limes

I went to Dean and Deluca this morning to get a ciabatta loaf to make myself a steak sandwich for Saturday lunch at the park.

I realized what a silly idea that was as I stepped outside the gourmet deli door and felt biting cold wind punching on my face. So I ended up staying home and munch on the huge sandwich by myself while watching the Simpsons. Not too shabby for me, though.

Anyway, I found these cutest things ever while I was at the store! They're called Finger Limes, and apparently, they are also known as the caviar of citrus world. Just could not resist try them right away.

Holiday Cheer Microcakes

Now that it's officially December, and the countdown to Christmas has started, I am obsessed with christmas-y ingredients. One of the inspirations we came up with is hazelnuts! Sure they taste, look, and even sound like christmas as they are, but we "helped them" to spark a little more by coating them with dark caramel! These amber-ly candied hazelnut topped petit cakes scream for warmness of the Holiday cheers.
